Discission about the future of Aardvark Topsites PHP.

Hey Jeremy, what do you think of the idea of having a part of the script that will connect to another SMTP server if the mail function doesn't work. I think I have worked out how to do it.

No probs, but you need to learn basic JavaScript.

Also Jeremy I have been looking round at a few articles about templates and things and I have been thinking weather Template Systems like what you have are worth it and just stick with eval and include

5. Community Involvement
The skins people have made are great, much better than I could do. That situation is fine, but it would be nice to get some people more involved with the coding. Ragnarok has made some great mods and has expressed interest in helping develop 5.0, and that is great. But more people are always nice. As 5.0 is in the planning stage now, if you are a PHP coder and want to help develop it, now is the time to get involved and start throwing ideas around. Besides core coders, it would be best if someone familiar with a particular CMS would maintain the port to that CMS.

if i knew anything about php coding i would jump in and help in a second!!!!

I can help provide good ideas for 5.9 though, like a referral system.

security tools

Something I'd like to see in version 5 would be additional tools to help fight cheating. Have logging information in the Admin section. Such as attaching an easy to view log to a particular ID. You could view all the ip addresses with date/time they clicked through from that particular account ID. Also a table showing the activity of the session ID's. During that session, did they click on any other sites or did they just click in?

That might help when investigating a suspected cheater. Instead of the way it is right now where you have to go over a cluttered mysql table.

I've been working with them on and off for only about a year and a half, but I am relatively proficient in them. Like it said, it would all depend on how much time I have because I am pretty busy with some other projects, but it would be nice to contribute back to this project.

I think that users should submit two banner urls one small one and one larger one. The smaller one is displayed in the front page table and then the larger one is displayed in its stats.
