you should change add .new onto the end of the config files that way people can upload them without having any problems about overwriting the old one and your just remove the extention if you are setting up, its what vB do for the config file anyway

you can include php files in 4.2.0.

i like the way it is distributed now. no one has to upload the new config files, so what good would changing the extention do?

change < to < and > to > and it will work. what program did you use to edit the skin?

Im not 100% sure on the function used to include the inlude file but I don't think you can have PHP in the file you include

this is getting sort of off topic... why don't you start a thread in the support forum? post the source code that you're trying to include and i'll try to help you get it working.
