I have switched from Invision Power Board to phpBB. All of the members and posts should have been converted. If you have any problems, post to this topic.

Just add a Quick Reply and the forum is nice.

I've uses phpBB before, and no offence, but I HATED IT WITH A PASSION AND STILL DO. I use Invision for all of my websites being that it is the most stable with a GPL.

And the other bad thing about it is that there is no email feature.

So.. COINGUY, IF YOU SEE THIS, MY EMAIL IS webmaster@x3k.net - EMAIL ME THERE FOR THE BUTTON AND IMAGE INFORMATION!

actually, invision isn't gpl which is the main reason i switched. i'm planning on doing some modding and integrating with the rest of my site, namely for the skins and mods sections, and i'd rather work with a gpl script.

I have to disagree with what has been said here... we've had phpBB all the time and certainly don't plan on changing it and it's stable as a rock. Other forum software, like Invision and Vbulletin come so packed with features that you will hardly ever use and only make it more awkward to work with.

phpBB is also A LOT easier to modify, and there are TONZ of MODs around to make phpBB the perfect free forum software around for anyone.

We are currently busy redesigning our own forum with phpBB... sure, having to do all the MODding takes a lot of time, but it gives a lot more satisfaction afterwards too.

So Jeremy, I wholeheartedly agree with you for changing to phpBB, great choice!

I have been around forum for over 2 and a half years now, and I have used most of them and phpBB is one of the most annoying and pasic forums around. I also hate it with a passion.

What don't you like about it? You've been a valuable member of this forum so if there's some feature you want added to it, I'd be happy to placate you by adding a mod.

2 things.

#1 i dont like that black line around the buttons / text fields.

#2 there is some error on the button of this new forum skin:

Code: Select all
This page was generated in <?php echo round(array_sum(explode(' ', microtime())) - $starttime, 5); ?> seconds using SQL queries.
