Support and whatever about the old Perl version of Aardvark Topsites.

all files uploaded in ascii mode, all files chmod properly, all files installed in correct paths, all spelling is correct.

try using the full path instead of just .

if you have php and mysql, you should use version 5.

i don't know why it's not working for you, and i am not too familiar with the code as i wrote it over 3 years ago and haven't touched it since. i'd suggest using a newer version.
