Number of Clicks Display

Postby PhilF » 2005-07-24 10:33 am

Hi Jeremy,
Diplaying number of clicks alongside the download/link button? In your support/readme file you said that you could use SSI. Fair enough but this wil not work on PHP page it has to be a SHTML page. my host supports SSI and suggests renaming the page and inserting the following:
<!--#exec cgi='/path/to/script.cgi' -->;

I think this is a bit defeatist, because having to rename certain pages from PHP to SHTML is going backwards from my postion. Is it possible to call the ID number via "echo" or similar etc.
Thanks

Inserting Includes into Pages

Postby PhilF » 2005-07-25 05:23 am

Hi Jeremy,
I will try that shortly but alongide each click image I wish to show number of clicks/downloads for that specific link, so would I be right in inserting the following code using server path:

Code: Select all
include('/home/me/cgi-bin/CMr/clickmanager.cgi?dl=11');

Thank You
