error message

Postby pettravel » 2009-01-02 11:02 pm

I have changed the clickmanager.cgi and stats.cgi uploaded the Click Manager files to my cgi-bin via ASCII format and given the proper permissions. I vertified with my ISP that the Perl script would run without defining the path.
When I activate a link with the customized code that you supplied, upload it and click on it, I get the: "script produced no output".

What does this mean?

I've never seen that error message before. A quick google shows that most people reporting that error message for CGI scripts are running some version of Windows. What OS are you running? Can you check the error log and see if there is a more informative error message?

Also, do you have any other Perl CGI scripts running? Because that would probably rule out a server configuration problem.

I am running XP svc pack3. The error is the same in IE7 or Modzilla. It does not show up as an error in my ISP error log. I have another script running on the website, but not on this page. Do you think it is with my ISP? Thanks for your help.
