Include in PHP

Postby Sjkv » 2004-05-22 09:41 am

Hey Jeremy,

i have a little question. in the readme you got this part about including

Code: Select all
-SSI
SSI is a cool way to show people how many times something has been clicked.  It
will put it right into your site.  Examples:
<!--#include virtual="/folder/clickmanager.cgi?num=http://www.aardvarkind.com/" -->
<!--#include virtual="/folder/clickmanager.cgi?num=http://www.aardvarkind.com/|||http://www.yahoo.com/" -->
<!--#include virtual="/folder/clickmanager.cgi?numall=1" -->

BUT can you also include it direct into php? or do i have to make a .shtml page and include that one into my php site?

I have used the code in the readme to setup our whole links page, I have also tried the include code to have the count show on our links page. I think that code will be soooo kool if I manage to get it working!

I have a problem showing the counts.

I use this...

<!--#include virtual="/cgi-bin/ps/clickmanager.cgi?dl=1" -->

get this error [an error occurred while processing this directive]

I manully edited the count myself. Because I was using a previous click counter, different one. You think I edited wrong?

are you sure, because when I do

<!--#include virtual="/cgi-bin/ps/clickmanager.cgi?numall=1" -->

it shows all the counts.

but I have another problem. I think this goes into the first post in this topic. I wasn't sure what you were explaining. You said you can include anything into php, but can you include the stats, eg the clicks.

You know how you have to .shtml, but when I change it to .php, won't the <!--#include virtual="/cgi-bin/ps/clickmanager.cgi?numall=1" -->, stop parsing because it's a php webpage?

Is there a way to show the count on a php extension web page?
