Can't get it installed? Not sure how a feature works? Then post here.

development is moving along nicely, so i think i should line up some good beta testers. i don't know when the first beta will be done, but it shouldn't be more than a week or two. here is the planned release scedule
beta 1: core functionality
beta 2: + admin
release candidate 1: + installer and converter
there could be more release candidates if there are major issues with the first one.

i don't need any more beta testers who use linux and apache 1.3. i need more beta testers that run windows or something else.

all these releases will not be to the general public, i'd like to have a group of people who want to install it, play around with it, and tell me their opinions. if you want to be a beta tester, reply to this topic and include the following information:

email address
aim (if you have it)
the first version of aardvark topsites you used (if any)
your server's operating system (include version if you can)
your http server (apache, iis, etc.) (include version if you can)
versions of php and mysql
any other pertinent information

I am so happy you have decided to do this. I was a user for the cgi version but not all that great with perl but am very familiar with php. Anyway I would love to help out with this. My information is as follows...

email: (admin at (did this way to hide from spam robots)
aim (HRCom93)
the first version of aardvark topsites you used (3.0.2 through 3.2.3)
your server's operating system (red hat linux 7.3 - Ensim Pro Webppliance 5.5.4)
your http server (apache) (1.3.27)
versions of php and mysql (4.3.1 and 3.23.56)
any other pertinent information...

Also we have full root access to our servers and as well run multiple servers with various services.

Just popped in to see any new developments and look what I found. PHP. We do a lot with PHP you can see our complete PHP Search <a href='' target='_blank'></a>
Yes I would beta test
Use Redhat 7.3
Dual Pentium Servers 2.0Gig with 3 gig Ram
Ensim PRO appliance
All the latest stable releases of php and mysql

I would already like to add one feature to Both CGI and PHP
This would allow Validate Email to Verify their email address Before they are placed on the Top list. To prevent folks from Spamming the Site

<a href='' target='_blank'></a> Request to become a partner This feature would set this Topsite apart and would make it a very valuable tool for sites like mine which see thousands of people every day looking to advertise.

use LWP::Simple;
if($response eq 'YES') { e-mail is valid }
$file = fopen('',"r");
if ($response == 'YES') { e-mail is valid }

gunmuse, validating emails is a good idea, but i'd rather build it into the script than trust it to some third party website.
