ok, now i have a new problem: my settings are set to monthly since almost 2 months, but there's no reset after 30 days ... ?!

it should reset on the first of the month. if you're using a really old version of mysql it won't work. one other person reported that problem. what version of mysql are you running?

hmm hmmm ... ok, i don't know if this is the same "problem" or another, but i've tried (more or less just for fun) to change the settings first to weekly and then to daily.

ok, today's monday so it's the first day of the week, but how is it possible that the first 10 or so sites have a very high ranking (up to over 550 clicks) at only 1 day? is it possible to cheat the gangway site?

my question is, that maybe the list is resetting correctly every month/week/day only i do not notice it because some sites again have a very high ranking after a short time?!

it's possible to cheat on anything anywhere. i try to make it hard for people to cheat, but it's still possible.

you should have stats for previous days. do they usually get less?

stats are stored for daily, weekly, and monthly no matter what your current option is. so changing it shouldn't result in anything strange.

I'm not sure if I've understood your question correct, but maybe you could have a look for yourself? I think that would be the easiest way before I start try explaining it :oops:

My Problems is my questions as to how pages with barely 20 members can have over 400 clicks a day ...? And I'd hoped that maybe in those stats something can be seen. But when you say that everything seams reasonable, well ... than that's the way it is (although I still don't understand it

)

those are 400 pageviews (loads of the button). the next column is hits in (clicks of the button), which is only a couple a day.

hmmhmmm ... ok, just so perhaps I will understand it one day: Pageview means every time someone loads the site where the button is linked, yes (or no)? Does this also include every time someone refreshes the specific site or is there a time-control or anything like that in it? And a pageview obviously counts more than a click on the button or is it a mix of both?

And what's the difference between Unique PVs/Total PVs/Unique In/Total In/Unique Out/Total Out? Maybe you could explain it to me with this site here: http://www.tier-topliste.de/toplist/ind ... hunde-talk (that's my own - maybe I can understand it with my dates ...). For example the daily stats (today):
Unique PV: 30 (Pageviews today)
Total PV: 208 (Pageviews ... but what time-period?)
Unique In: 0 (0 clicks onto the button on my page)
Total In: 0 (time period?)
Unique Out: 1 (1 click on my banner at the toplist)
Total Out: 1 (time period?)

Sorry if my questions are maybe a bit stupid, but I'm really at a loss here :oops:

pageview = button load
hit in = click on button
hit out = click from topsites to member's site

unique = once per ip per day
total = no limit on ip addresses
