[Assistance Needed] ... with background change!

Alright, I've changed the background of my topsites by doing this:

   font-family: sans-serif;
   font-size: 12px;
}

The problem comes with the interior of the content becomes transparent.
I only want the background to change, not the part where the top sites are, that should have a white background.
