it requires php to be compiled with the gd module.

I got my server to install the GD module. It is working now, though unique hits out and hits out refuse to work, not just on my topsite but others as well by aardvark, both in the update to the beta and the beta.

I hope you actually get it fixed on the next non-beta release.
