Some help needed about mysql

I am not actually using aardvark but a similar script.
I intend to use it but I am not sure that it will change something.
I have in fact this problem:
Too Many Connection
I have in fact a lot of sites suscribed and so a lot of hits in to count.

But I have my own dedicated server with 1.6 ghz and 512 mo RAM. Isn't it sufficient to run a top sites that has rather popular sites suscribed? (the top members have 4000 unique per day, the other 1600, 600, 200, ...).

I have seen Jeremy that u have itopsites and that there are a lot of members, so I wonder how you succeed to do that? Do you have a BIG server?
Or is just simply your script that is better than the others?

a lot of cpu power is required if u use dynamic buttons and count pageviews. i don't have any exat numbers though.

how have u done with itopsites? isn't it counted by page views? The cpu charge shouldn't be very big?

How much would you charge me to make aardvark topsites use username instead of members ID, to convert my topsite table to aardvark and to make an addon to let members to send news on the topsite just like mine?

Yeah I have seen but is is planned in a long time.
I am in a crisis phase with my topsite so if someone could help me about that, that would be great.
