Need Custom Scripting From Jeremy Scheff !

Postby WebMasterJorge » 2005-08-28 05:38 am

Hey, wazuup Jeremy Scheff!?

I haven't posted in a while, couse I've been busy working on my top sites list and stuff, here it is...

http://www.top100psychosites.com

Anyways, a while ago I posted a message on the forum, talking about how can I provide the users of my top sites list, with more than one image to use, to link back to my top sites list. What I mean is, after they finished joining and get redirected to the page where they get instructions on how to link back to my top sites list, they would see the code to different images, which they may choose from, so they could link back to my top sites list.

I was asking for help on this, but you said that it required professional modification from you and that you would charge me $20 to do it. Well, I'm ready to do it now, but I'm also afraid of how this modification may affect my script in the long run, when I want to start upgrading it to the latest version.

I'm currently using version 4.2.2, so if you could get back to me on how this modification may affect my script when upgrading to the more to come versions, and details on how to send you the money, and your primary email address, so that I could send you my FTP information, so you could Login to my site's server and do your thing, that would be great!

Thanks!

if you're worried about upgrading, i would suggest you wait until 5.0 is released before getting the mod done. 5.0 should be done within a couple weeks. mods for older versions will have to be redone for 5.0.

About version 5.0, from what i could see in the demo, most of the big diference is the skin layout. I mean, what features would version 5.0 have, that version 4.2.2 does not!?

I guess I'll just wait till 5.0 comes out, just to be on the safe side. But I think adding an option on the admin, for multiple link back images, should be something you would like to consider on a future version.

Alright Jeremy! I'm ready to do the Mod, but I'm now concern if theirs going to be any conflicts when I do an upgrade to version 5.0.2. I'm assuming on that version you are going to address these two bugs that I've been talking about...

Thanks!

your mod will only affect link_code.php, which should not change very much or at all as the script evolves.

i'll try to have it done this weekend, is that ok? it would be sooner but i'm quite busy atm.

Thanks! I appreciate it, this weekend is fine! As soon as that's done, I'll contact you next week, to get the Mod done. One more thing, do have a primary email address that I could use to send you my site's FTP Login information? You'll probably need that info, when making the Mod. Also, is it ok if I send you a check by mail instead of using Paypal? It's because I had a bad experience with Paypal and I don't trust them that much anymore.

Thanks again!

Kool! Give me your Paypal link and I'll send you the payment! Its 20 bucks, right? Also, do I have to email you my site's FTP information, so that you could do what you gota do or is it simple enough for me to just install the mod on my own?

Thanks!

Kool! Check your email, i just finished sending you the payment. One more question, How many images am I going to be allowed to use on this new mod? Can it handle four images, because that's how many I wanted to use for the members of my top sites list, so that htey could link back.

Anyways, you could email me the mod at: top100psychosites@hotmail.com

Thanks!
