Buttons

Static

Static buttons means that all your members display the same unchanging button on their website. To use static buttons, set "Ranks on buttons" in the settings section of the admin to "No" and set the URL to your button.

Ranks on Buttons

Ranks on buttons means that your members will get a button that dynamically displays their rank. You must create these buttons with ranks yourself. Name them 1.png, 2.png, 3.png, etc. up as high as you want. Upload the buttons to your server. Go to the settings section of the admin to set the directory you uploaded the buttons to, their file extension, and the number of buttons you made. Also set a default button that will be given to members who are low on your topsites list.

Aardvark Topsites PHP 5 uses rank caching to deliver much better performance than previous versions, but it still takes some server resources to put ranks on buttons. If you are having problems with performance, you may have to disable this feature.

Stat Buttons

Stat buttons give you the most control over how your buttons look, but it is also the most difficult to configure and uses the most server resources. Only use stat buttons if you have a powerful server and some PHP knowledge.

To use stat buttons, first select it in the settings section of the admin. Then edit settings_buttons.php to dynamically display stats on the button. You can put any stat that the script keeps on the button.
